    What happens to your recording

    Short version: your video stays in your browser and nothing is kept after your critique is generated.

    What is captured

    Your camera and microphone are used only to record and analyse the practice session you start. Recording begins when you press record and stops when the timer ends or you press Finish.

    What is sent to the server

    The audio track, up to eight still frames taken from your video, the prompt you chose and the length you picked. The full video file is never uploaded.

    How long anything is stored

    Nothing is stored. The audio and frames exist only in memory for the seconds it takes to transcribe and analyse them, then they are discarded. There is no database and no media bucket. Your video lives in this browser tab and disappears when you close it, press Delete, or start a new yap.

    AI training

    Your audio and frames are sent to an outside service to be analysed. What that service may do with them depends on which one this site is set up to use — see PRIVACY.md in the project for the full detail.

    Deleting a recording

    Press "Delete this recording" on the results screen to drop the video from memory immediately. Closing the tab does the same thing.
